1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RentSpace, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users including tenants, landlords, and visitors.
2. Account Responsibilities
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Do not share your login credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use RentSpace.
3. Listing Standards
Landlords must provide accurate property information, photos, and pricing. Listings must comply with local housing laws and regulations. Discriminatory listings are prohibited. We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates our standards.
4. Application Process
Applications submitted through RentSpace are binding expressions of interest. Tenants must provide truthful information. Landlords must respond to applications in a reasonable timeframe. RentSpace does not guarantee application approval.
5. Payments
Rent payments are processed securely through Stripe. RentSpace charges service fees as disclosed before each transaction. Refunds are handled according to the lease terms and applicable laws. Payment disputes should be reported within 30 days.
6. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not post fraudulent listings, harass other users, circumvent platform fees, scrape data, create fake reviews, or use the platform for illegal purposes. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.
7. Limitation of Liability
RentSpace facilitates connections between tenants and landlords but is not a party to any lease agreement. We are not responsible for the condition of properties, the behavior of users, or the outcome of rental arrangements.
8. Dispute Resolution
We encourage users to resolve disputes directly. If needed, contact support@rentspace.ca for mediation. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in Toronto.
