Verify before you visit
Check landlord reviews, verification badges, and property photos before scheduling a viewing. Never send money before seeing a property in person.
Keep payments on-platform
Always use RentSpace's secure payment system. Never wire money or pay in cash to someone you haven't met. If a deal seems too good, it probably is.
Protect your personal info
Don't share your SIN, bank details, or ID documents until you've verified the landlord and signed a lease. Use the in-app messaging system.
Report suspicious activity
See a fake listing or suspicious user? Report it immediately through the property page or contact support@rentspace.ca. We investigate all reports.
In an emergency
If you feel unsafe or are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. Then report the incident to us at support@rentspace.ca.
